Grades K-3

Our french program is designed to help children learn the alphabet, numbers, and more fundamental principles. The program is there to help with the children's reading and writing skills and speaking the language.

  •  Introduction to French language: A certified Montessori French teacher would start by introducing the basics of the French language to pre-K to 3rd grade students. This would include learning French alphabets, pronunciation, basic grammar, and vocabulary.

  •  Speaking and Listening: The teacher would focus on developing the students' listening and speaking skills in French by conducting interactive activities such as role-playing, storytelling, and group discussions. This would help the students become more confident in using the French language.

  •  Reading and Writing: The teacher would also teach the students how to read and write in French, using fun and engaging activities such as games, puzzles, and writing exercises. This would help the students to develop their reading comprehension, writing skills, and vocabulary.

  •  Cultural Awareness: As part of the curriculum, the teacher would also introduce the students to the French culture, traditions, and customs. This would include learning about French holidays, food, music, art, and history. It would help the students gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of the French language and culture.

Grades K-3

Our English program is designed to help children focus on reading and writing at a young age. While in this age group, they will learn how to spell, sound, and read words, and our goal is to give them an extra boost to grasp language significantly.

  •  Language and Literacy Skills: Students would develop foundational language and literacy skills such as phonics, vocabulary, grammar, and writing. The focus would be on building the students' communication and comprehension skills to help them become effective readers and writers.

  •  Mathematical Literacy: Students would develop mathematical literacy by learning concepts such as number recognition, addition, subtraction, measurement, and geometry. Our program would use hands-on, interactive learning experiences to help students understand the relevance of math in their daily lives.

  •  Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving: Students would develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills through inquiry-based learning, group discussions, and interactive activities. Our program would encourage students to ask questions, make connections, and explore ideas to deepen their understanding of different concepts.

  •  Social and Emotional Learning: Students would develop social and emotional skills such as self-awareness, self-regulation, empathy, and teamwork. Our program would provide opportunities for students to engage in collaborative learning, sharing their ideas and perspectives, and developing positive relationships with their peers.

  • Language and Literacy: Students would develop advanced language and literacy skills, including reading comprehension, writing, and oral communication. The focus would be on helping students to effectively express themselves and understand complex texts.
  • Media Literacy: Students would develop media literacy skills, including the ability to analyze and evaluate various forms of media, such as news articles, social media posts, and advertisements. Our program would help students to understand the role of media in shaping our society and develop critical thinking skills to navigate media messages.

  • Critical Thinking and Research Skills: Students would develop critical thinking and research skills through inquiry-based learning, projects, and assignments. Our program would focus on helping students to identify credible sources, evaluate information, and communicate their findings effectively.

  • Social Justice and Equity: Students would learn about social justice and equity issues, such as racism, sexism, and discrimination, and develop empathy and understanding for diverse perspectives. Our program would encourage students to become active and engaged citizens who contribute positively to their communities.

Our English program is designed to help children focus on different areas of language like Oral Communication, Reading, Writing, and Media Literacy. We can work with the child based on their teacher's instructions to give them the best experience.

Grades 9-12

Once in high school, TheTutors is to help prepare the individual for their future. Our Tutors provide support in their essays, assignments, and more to fulfill their needs. Once in high school, we expect students to bring homework to us to guide them.

  •  Advanced Language and Literacy: Students would develop advanced language and literacy skills, including reading comprehension, writing, and oral communication. The focus would be on developing critical thinking skills and preparing students for post-secondary education and the workforce.
  •  Literary Analysis: Students would learn how to analyze and interpret complex literary texts, including works of fiction, non-fiction, and poetry. Our program would help students to develop a deep understanding of literary techniques, themes, and the historical and cultural contexts in which texts were written.
  •  Effective Communication and Research Skills: Students would develop advanced communication and research skills, including the ability to write persuasive essays, conduct research, and present their findings. Our program would prepare students for academic and professional success.
  •  Global and Cultural Awareness: Students would learn about global and cultural issues and develop a deep understanding of different perspectives. Our program would help students to become empathetic and engaged global citizens who are able to contribute positively to a diverse and multicultural world.
  • Post-Secondary Writing Support: Our program provides comprehensive support for post-secondary students, including essay and report writing, resume editing, cover letter editing, and overall writing help. Our experienced tutors help students to improve their writing skills and develop effective communication strategies that are essential for academic and professional success.

Farsi

Farsi lessons to teach writing, reading and speaking. All TheTutors programs are also offered in Farsi.

  •  Reading and Writing: The teacher would focus on developing the students' reading and writing skills in Farsi by using a variety of teaching methods such as reading comprehension exercises, writing prompts, and essay writing. This would help the students to become more confident in reading and writing in Farsi.

  •  Advanced Grammar: The teacher would also teach the students advanced grammar rules, such as verb conjugation and sentence structure, to help them develop their language skills and communicate more effectively in Farsi.

  •  Cultural Awareness: As part of the curriculum, the teacher would also introduce the students to Persian culture and history, including literature, music, and art. This would help the students to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of the Farsi language and culture.

Mandarin
